Hi, I'm Will Pass, writer and creator of TypoSweep.

I built this tool for my own manuscripts because Word and Grammarly flag hundreds of stylistic choices as “errors” while missing real typos.

I could see how AI might help, but publicly available options can't proofread book-length work reliably, and I'd never paste my novel into an AI chatbot that would train on it. I just needed something that would find typos, period.

TypoSweep is that tool. It uses AI to find typos with high accuracy, but it never uses your manuscript for AI training, keeping your literary voice intact and your privacy protected. This is the final check before you share or publish your book. I hope you find it as useful as I have.

How I got here

I earned a doctorate in veterinary medicine and practiced for two years at a dog and cat clinic before turning to writing full time. My day job is freelance medical writing. The rest of my time goes to my family, writing novels, asking strangers for book recommendations, and, lately, TypoSweep.
