Catch embarrassing typos before your readers do.

For book-length manuscripts ready for a final pass.

Upload your .docx. We'll do a TypoSweep of the first 5,000 words for free, so you can see what we'd catch on the rest. Full TypoSweep $29.

By uploading, you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.

How it works

  1. Upload your manuscript. We run a free TypoSweep on the first 5,000 words. Usually under a minute.
  2. See what we'd catch. We show you a sample of what we found so you can judge the quality before you pay anything.
  3. Unlock the full TypoSweep ($29). We process your entire book and email you a tracked-changes Word doc plus a clean report. Ready in 5–10 minutes.

What you get

  • A tracked-changes .docx. You have final say on every flag. Open the doc in Word. Click through each suggestion one at a time. Accept it, reject it, or ignore it. TypoSweep never touches your prose without your say-so. Every word in your book stays your word.
  • A clean report. Every flag with context, sorted into likely, worth a look, and probably intentional.
  • Your voice, protected. Fragments, comma splices, intentional repetition. These are choices, not mistakes. We filter out the flags that would just be us critiquing your prose.
  • A final-pass safety net. TypoSweep catches the little errors that survived because you've read the manuscript too many times to see them anymore.

Behind the scenes

TypoSweep is an AI-assisted tool, but it is not generative AI. It creates nothing. Its only job is to spot typos in your writing: wrong words, missing punctuation, duplicate phrases, broken sentences. It looks. You decide. It never writes a word of your book, never rewrites your prose, and never makes a change without your explicit approval in Word's tracked-changes view. We think this is how AI should be ethically used in creative writing (never for the creative part).

  • Your manuscript stays yours, period. We never share it with anyone. We never use it to train any AI model. It exists on our servers only long enough to run your TypoSweep, then it's deleted.
  • AI for the chores, not the craft. Hunting typos is a chore. Writing is the work. TypoSweep handles the first so you stay focused on the second.

About Will, founder of TypoSweep

Will Pass

I write for a living. I'm a full-time freelance medical writer and I'm currently working on my third novel. I don't want heavy-handed software that tells me how I write. I want a sharp tool that makes my manuscript as clean as possible, and I don't want to wade through thousands of comma suggestions to get there.

Will is the author of The Second-Smartest Dog That Ever Lived (2024, named among the Southwest Books of the Year) and The Whirlpool of Lebanon, forthcoming September 15, 2026 from Thiessen Press.
